Why does the people of the middle east deny their western heritage?

after all Egypt, Palestine, Syria Iraq and Iran along with Greece on Europe are the cradle of western civilization. and yet they bow down and accept the culture of primitive Saudi desert nomads, when their ancestors accepted god hundred of years before Saudis .they refer to America and Europe in defamation as "the west". saying atheism and Democracy are foreign western ideals not for you. you where the west long before them, what you call their ideals and culture was your culture, until you gave it up for a foreign primitive culture. why not embrace your western Parsi-Roman Hellenistic heritage. Alexandria should be the center of the middle east, not mecca. why not rebel against the influence of the Saudi nomads culture and return to the ancestral western heritage? of Babylon Persia Egypt and Antioch.
