Why do you thin Creationism has been disregarded?

I believe in CREATION, but I'm NOT a Creationist. I.e. I don't believe the world is only 6,000 years old. That's absolutely impossible. It wouldn't have time for all the things that have happened in it, i.e. the Ice Age. They've basically almost proven that the world is older than that. But I 100% believe in God.
