I have an algae growing all over my fish tank help?

the algae is growing in small brown tufts mainly on the gl but also on all of the ornaments and plants in my tank. what is it and how do i treat it. i try to scrub it off and it grows back in a couple of hours and none of my algae eating fish eat it.
