Do i need to get low-profile tires?

first off its up to you if you want low profile i think you have a choise anyways and if you do you shouldn't because like you say pot holes and snow but my car has low pro tires and their 17s stock but for the rims idk its up to you ohh also low profile tires could get pretty expensive i know because i just recently bought some low profiles for my car they were 250 a piece so your gonna want to be carefull
