Does this guy need friends or is it just his personality?

Maybe he is lonely without any body to allow him to join into a new school and group of people. The cliques in schools do that sometimes without meaning it. He might feel you are approachable and trying to break the ice. He might be new around girls. Weird maybe your answer because he is awkward on doing anything like meeting people. You decide how to do the right thing with him. You have to reflect on his needs as best as a person can be and let him go do his new guy thing. It takes time to find people to be friends but he has to do some work too.......
