Bronchitis or Asthma? ?

okay so i was sick with a sore throat and cold for about 2 days, and i just got rid of my sore throat, but now i have a really bad cough and i'm wheezing and its getting harder to breathe everyday and especially at night. i have an inhaler for asthma, but i have never used an inhaler and i don't know if i need it. does this sound like asthma or bronchitis? should i take the inhaler?
